@EWErickson We’ve had our kids in public schools, the oldest on year 7 now, and we couldn’t be happier. Not only has it been a good education but it’s allowed us to meet other families, invite them to church, and sparked conversation and action surrounding classmates with less privilege

1. A feeling of rootedness a historic tradition provides making one feel like they’re a part of something ancient

2. Many baptists have been co-opted by a political party and it leaves a bad taste in the mouths of others

@Svigel Folks I interact with who know I graduated from DTS are always so astonished when I tell them I had zero professors and zero classmates in my circles who believed in or taught along the lines of “Left Behind” eschatology and the rapture basically was one lecture in one course
