Hi non-coding RNA twitter! I am guest editing a special issue for @Non_Coding_RNA titled “Advances in Non-coding RNA Databases and Resources”.
Submission deadline is 20 January 2022.

Working on circRNA? Check out our latest (and @MariekeVromman ’s first) paper on the good, bad and ugly of circRNA annotation. Bottomline: proceed with caution!👇
Interested in doing a PhD on non-coding RNAs? Our lab is looking for a PhD candidate to do research on circular RNAs in cancer. Join the home of LNCipedia in the beautiful city of Ghent, Belgium! https://t.co/4FkrFaup8i
our work on trying to understand the tissue-specificity of lncRNAs is out!! we performed an MPRA to analyze endogenous core promoter activities across lncRNAs, mRNAs, and eRNAs in 3 diverse human cell lines & find that sometimes, specificity is associated with TF motif simplicity
Our review on lncRNA expression profiling in cancer out now in Genes, Chromosomes and Cancer https://t.co/v3Vsss0bDf.
By Lucia Lorenzi, @Frank_Txu, @celine_everaert, @pjvolders, @hHetty, @jvdesomp and others in the lab.
LNCipedia 5 paper is out! Includes literature curation of 2482 lncRNA articles. Most lncRNA papers are focussed on a small set of genes though…

RNAcentral release 10 includes comprehensive genome mapping for 250+ species, GO annotations from @rachhuntley1 and @UCLgene team, new data from @mirbase, @lncipedia, @FlyBaseDotOrg, and more! Check out the details on the blog: https://t.co/SScMpELGBB
Several users notified us of inconsistencies with the names of lncRNAs in LNCipedia 5.1. We are currently working on a solution and will release an update shortly.
LNCipedia 5.1 was released this week with support for Sequence Ontology terms. A custom pipeline classifies all genes and transcripts based on their orientation to protein coding genes.
Top #tweeted#RNA list story: @lncipedia: 'Literature annotation increased to 2435 papers in LNCipedia 5.1. Providing functional annotation for 1555 #lncRNA genes! ', see more https://t.co/QRe3vIMZc3
@GOLDLab_Bern @NatureRevGenet Great work! It would be interesting to see how LNCipedia compares with the other resources in your paper, did you by any chance do those analyses?
