After four years on the Solana project, I have taken the leap and cofounded @doublezero – a new protocol setting out to solve a problem at the heart of the internet, and at the heart of high performance blockchain: global, base layer connectivity.

It's not a new L1 or L2, it's the world's first N1. Neutral base layer infrastructure for a distributed world.

We're building a network architecture capable of supporting tens of millions of transactions per second. We're starting with Solana, but DoubleZero is neutral base layer infrastructure – and N1 – and a foundation for all high performance blockchains.

By going to the heart of the problem – OSI layers 1, 2, and 3 – we aim to rebuild the internet from the ground up.
