LADAKH FLIGHTS DISRUPTED...
But hoteliers decide to host stranded tourists for free.
I really appreciate Ms Lachic & the association for showing this spirit of genuine hospitality in Ladakh.
'Following the executive body meeting held this morning, it has been unanimously decided that guests whose outbound flights have been cancelled due to the current situation will be offered complimentary stays at the same hotels where they have been staying in Ladakh.'

Tibetan Argali rests gracefully on the snow-covered terrain of Ladakh, its majestic horns and thick coat blending with the serene, high-altitude wilderness!!
How do we support pasture ecology and herders after a tough winter? Barley distribution!
Our Coexistence fellows, Dorjay and Lobzang delivered 50 buri (each weighing 50- 60kg) of barley for livestock to local herders in Ladakh, providing vital relief for pastureland and herds!

6th Schedule is a proof of generosity of India when it comes to Unity in Diversity. This great nation not only tolerates diversity but also encourages it.

I salute these mainstream media channels that have shown some spine and covered the Ladakh issue.
I hope this will shake the conscience of the others too.

Pashmina goats not only provide the finest and warmest wool, they also contribute to the economy of Ladakh. The Changpa, a semi-nomadic community in eastern Ladakh, have a deep cultural bond with these goats, whose wool they believe is beneficial to health. @lobzangncf@Dorjayncf
This work was led on-ground by @Dorjayncf and @lobzangncf with guidance from @ksuryawanshi and Ajay Bijoor. This builds on previous work in the system which emphasizes the need for context-based conservation alongside evidence-based conservation: https://t.co/iz9zcJoJeE
