I really appreciate Ms Lachic & the association for showing this spirit of genuine hospitality in Ladakh.

'Following the executive body meeting held this morning, it has been unanimously decided that guests whose outbound flights have been cancelled due to the current situation will be offered complimentary stays at the same hotels where they have been staying in Ladakh.'

How do we support pasture ecology and herders after a tough winter? Barley distribution!
Our Coexistence fellows, Dorjay and Lobzang delivered 50 buri (each weighing 50- 60kg) of barley for livestock to local herders in Ladakh, providing vital relief for pastureland and herds!

Along with me 90 people sleept in the open in hunger, to remind leaders in Delhi of their promises made to Ladakh for the protection of its fragile environment and tribal cultures under the 6th Schedule.

Pashmina goats not only provide the finest and warmest wool, they also contribute to the economy of Ladakh. The Changpa, a semi-nomadic community in eastern Ladakh, have a deep cultural bond with these goats, whose wool they believe is beneficial to health. @lobzangncf @Dorjayncf

Tibetan Wild Ass is also known as Kyang in Ladakhi language. It is native to the Tibetan plateau in changthang Ladakh.

Tibetan Mastiff have a thick hair coat often in the color of black or tan to keep warm.
Tibetan mastiff used to be loyal companion and good guardians of houses and livestock of nomadic families in changthang Ladakh Tibetan plateau.

Interactions with livestock herding communities at the Tegazong winter pastures. Sherab Lobzang and Rigzen Dorjey's project involves helping communities access barley during the winters to increase livestock yield and offset losses to #wolves and snow #leopards.
