@ukhomeoffice You are a bunch of fucking scumbags.
How many "highly skilled" visa's have you given to kebab and vape shop workers and their extended families?
Many millions must go!
@SWT_Channel@Darket696 Totally agree.
DEI and micro-transactions are far bigger killers for me than the loss of physical media.
There are very few games that I have wanted to buy over the past 10 years.
Back in the PS1 and PS2 era there was top games being released almost every month.
@BR1TISTA@ivvanex I think that you could be correct about Microsoft continuing physical disc's just to annoy Sony.
But Sony is one of the patent holders for the Blu-ray Disc technology.
So, it would be a public "Fuck You" to Sony, while behind the scenes Sony would benefit financially ๐
@tasarren@Pirat_Nation It was not forced.
It costs more to produce a console with a disc drive, hence the higher price.
People had the option to buy the console with a disc drive and to buy physical games (that's what I did).
But unfortunately it looks like most other people chose the digital option.
@RohanKarMooN The original PlayStation had 1MB of VRAM and still has some of the best games ever made.
We don't need massive amounts of graphic memory, we need good game developers.
@CPhilpOfficial Labour are not giving France money to stop the boats.
If you believe that you are a fool ๐
Labour are giving France money to facilitate the illegal crossings.
@RupertLowe10 Was earning 55K.
In the past decade paid over ยฃ120k tax.
Was made redundant.
Only entitled to ยฃ90 a week.
They tried to force me into a minimum wage part-time role.
I would have had to claim working tax credits.
I found my own job, now back to being taxed over 1k per month.
@sinon_jim@ACG1191@1646Sam@CRy3no Physical games that are shipped incomplete is a totally separate issue to digital media.
A physical game should be fully playable offline without any download/update, unless that is made very clear on the box before purchase.
@JCDenton654@1646Sam@CRy3no You agree to the terms when you make a purchase.
If you don't like the terms, then don't make the purchase, it is that simple.
@1646Sam@CRy3no The real issue is that people are buying digital games without reading the T&Cs, which make it clear that they are purchasing a revocable licence to use the software.
If people didn't buy them, companies would have no choice but to sell physical copies.
@benjtheactor@joe_yer99 No, it is because Manchester is in the north of England.
There has been a north/south divide in England for a long time.
The majority of government investment goes to the south of England.
The new PM is from the north, so he is trying to win back northern voters for Labour.
@Chupy35@DeepStarts Stallman is nuts.
He thinks ALL software should be open-source.
I went to see one of his presentations.
Whilst on stage talking to the audience he removed his socks and started applying lotion to his feet, it was very strange ๐
@Neccccy Calling Starmer a cunt or a wanker is disgraceful.
The man has dedicated his entire career to helping pedophiles, you could at least acknowledge that!
@MpaEfosa@CFCMods Being verbally insulted is not a "justifiable reason" to immediately become violent.
Especially whilst being watched by millions of children around the world.
