I'm super happy my latest paper has been featured on @TheInformedSLP, which I think is a great resource for all SLPs wanting to catch up on new research:

It's paywalled (worth the $ imo), however, the paper itself is open access:

@riimusto@StoltSuvi@Children_MDPI@MDPIOpenAccess@helsinkiuni in already vulnerable populations. And at population level I do have concerns regarding the decrease in time spent reading for pleasure that we see in both kids and adults, at least here in Sweden.)
@riimusto@StoltSuvi@Children_MDPI@MDPIOpenAccess@helsinkiuni (I can add that I’m definitely not an absolutist when it comes to screen time for kids and my own toddlers have def binge watched kids shows while home with a cold while I myself scroll twitter at the same time, but I do have concerns especially regarding extended use
The first paper of my PhD with @StoltSuvi and Ritva Torppa is now published @Children_MDPI@MDPIOpenAccess! New information on the association between the screen time of children and their mothers and children's language development. @helsinkiuni

"Universal interventions are needed as a public health but please not at the expense of evidence-based direct interventions" @NatalieMunro3 at #IDLDRC
Yes, yes, yes! (This is where I would have stood up and clapped, had I seen the excelente keynote IRL!)
We reviewed and meta-analyzed forty years of reading intervention research for K-5 students with or at risk for dyslexia! https://t.co/xUJ4GrOMSt Published online, open access, at Reading Research Quarterly (@ILAToday).
Which obviously isn’t >normal< and it’s a problem if issues go undetected because the child was born at the same time as its sibling.
Anyway, if anyone ever wants to talk about twins and language development I’m here 👋🏽🙋🏻♀️
First day of #IDLDRC 2022 really had an amazing start with keynote by @deevybee and many interesting topics regarding e.g. functional impact, genetics, and the need for further research on (cross linguistic) language intervention in the Q&A hosted by @shaunziegenfusz
Prof. Dorothy Bishop has presented a phenomenal keynote to kick off #IDLDRC. Join @deevybee & @shaunziegenfusz for the Live Q&A at 7pm AEST (Brisbane, Queensland). If you'd still like to join the International DLD Research Conference you still can! Visit https://t.co/lIJmF8WIw6
and I see this coming up frequently in parental groups for parents of twins/multiples. There can be 3year olds who are essentially non-verbal and the parents may hear from other twin parents, daycare workers or healthcare professionals “oh, don’t worry, it’s a twin thing”
