@ProgrammerDude More or less the same would be happening even without AI existing. TypeScript is just destined to be in this state, and forever been, because Microsoft can't get their shit together.
Token2 is not OSS. Even so, they are my main keys.
I also have FEITIAN keys (whose hardware is top notch... I would like to say, but it's very outdated and doesn't support Ed25519; though they are still used in largest banks, healthcare organizations and in some government organizations; they also produce various banking and payment terminals).
I also looked at Kensington before buying FEITIAN keys, but, surprisingly, they are very bad.
@caballerobrah@HSVSphere From what I remember, Yubikey was never audited by a 3rd-party company and their firmware is not open source. Unlike Nitrokey (which is open source) or Token2 (which undergone audits and supplies keys to Swiss government organizations)
The real Bun experiment isn't technical. It's whether devs trust a runtime whose roadmap answers to someone else's business model.
Deno already spent some of that trust.
That's why I'm building Perry bootstrapped and open source: no investors to repay
@endless_sine Your assumption is that intelligence will be as expensive as it is today, while in reality we get better models for less price every 6 months or so
@LukasHozda Fedora and Windows. Version 0.52. Plugins I've tried to make for Autolith but ended up using DSH are there. Some of them are in "prototype" stage, but they are still working well and stable. https://t.co/pQdi1rQGsr
Thinking about where software is headed... To me this crate is an interesting case study.
We migrated off a third-party HTML parser and had Astra write our own.
- ~2x faster for our use-case
- One dependency (memchr)
- No unsafe (beyond memchr)
- Much smaller API (~40% LoC)
