LongEval is built on a common framework for Information Retrieval and Text Classification: we evaluate system performance on
(1) test data acquired at the same time t as the training data, (2) data acquired shortly after time t, and (3) data acquired longer after time t.

The LongEval aims at identifying the types of models that offer better temporal persistence for NLP tasks on data that evolves across time in both shorter and longer time periods. LongEval 2023 proposes two tasks: (1) Information Retrieval and (2) Text Classification.
