@Hitchslap1 Could be as simple as looking more closely at “no response”
Perhaps not much has changed & smart asians were simply more private until 2001.
Regardless, the fact that I was able to look through the code to gain a better understanding of this artwork is, in my opinion, one reason why on-chain generative art is so awesome.

I love Chromie Squiggles. One trait has always confused me though:
Height
So I dove into the code to demystify the height trait & discovered the apparent rarity of height 4 is more a quirk of how data is displayed rather than a true collectible attribute.
Let me explain…
If Snowfro wanted there to be a rare height trait, he could have assigned all squiggles a height of 3 except those with a decPairs[27] raw value of 255. Those could have been given a height of something like 25 which would transform squiggle #8211 into this:
