@DanSmithAuthor And for the children- we have lots who don’t like to wear costumes but don’t want to feel left out and others who can’t afford/ don’t have parents with the skills to make costumes. We’ve also had old costumes donated and parents have taken for free #WorldBookDay
@DanSmithAuthor We’ve gone for the theme of ‘Anything Goes’ so pj’s, football kits, school uniform, odd socks, book character... and we’re exploring books that celebrate inclusion and diversity- get to enjoy amazing books, have positive conversations and less stress for parents!
@baronbedford Loved our last session with Alex Bedford back last summer and it’s made a huge impact on how we’ve tweaked our curriculum and teaching and learning. Another great session today with lots to think about! #curriculum#cognativeload
I had a fab day at Westfield school today. Lots of awesome young readers and writers. Also, I have learned that Tick-Tock is a really big thing for some kids. Like, REALLY BIG.

Our new sensory corridor has been so popular over the last few days. Thanks @MrsTracyDickens from the @ADHDFoundation for prompting us to think how to make this a brilliant positive calming space.
Looking for an author/ illustrator to come and visit our wonderful EYFS class. All other year groups covered but this is a tough one... so many books we love but so few willing to travel to the lovely north west of Cumbria! @chrisdysonHT@_Reading_Rocks_

@michaeldoron@kenradical We’ve tracked an ‘Empire’ thread through school, right from Yr1- Yr6 so that children explore the notion repeatedly so when it comes to Victorians and WW2 they have a good grounding of what other ‘Empires’ were like and can enter into a more informed debate
