Wadala’s Prati Pandharpur – A 400-Year-Old Tradition
Did you know? The Vitthal temple in Wadala, fondly known as Prati Pandharpur, traces its origins to over 400 years ago.
Legend says a group of devotees from the Koli and Agri communities were on their wari to Pandharpur when their Guru injured his foot while bathing in the Chandrabhaga river. As others entered the river to help him, they discovered a divine Vitthal idol. Following the Guru’s instructions, they brought the idol to Wadala and built a small temple, where Sant Tukaram himself is believed to have performed the pranpratishtha in the year 1614.
Even today, lakhs of devotees gather here during Ashadhi Ekadashi

Amidst these protests only Youtubers seem to be having a gala time. There is chaos on both the ends (cops and protestors) but these Youtubers have their own 3rd front of circus. Dooming for views. Youtubers are different species, I tell ya!
@ragiiing_bull They should first raid all the sweetshops and restaurants outside Mumbadevi temple. It is one of the main temples of Mumbai but still that area is dirty. I do not understand how can BMC not do anything to keep it clean! It stinks and is just disgusting.
During the ongoing conservation works by ASI at the Trimbakeshwar Temple, Nashik, a stone Shivalinga was discovered during the desilting of the temple’s historic water tank, locally known as Amrit Kund.
The Shivalinga was found at the bottom of the tank while removing accumulated silt and debris.
This remarkable discovery highlights how conservation efforts continue to reveal and preserve India’s rich cultural and sacred heritage.
My heart ached as I visited Mumbadevi & was shocked to see unclean surrounding, flowing sewage, flies & stinky air. Why can’t they keep the it clean? Shops in vicinity justdon’t care about sewage flowing outside their doors!
Pls look into it @mybmc@Dev_Fadnavis@mieknathshinde
Demographic shift can be a serious threat to our cultural existence. Western influence has tricked the employed metropolitan population into adopting western ideas such as DINK, DISK or replacing pets with children. This is degradation of mindsets due to the influence of woke-ism
India’s #FertilityRate falls below replacement level for the first time in history, declining from 2.3 to 1.9 in just a decade.
Family plays a fundamental role in #NationBuilding, but the rise of trends like DINK (Double Income No Kids) and DISK (Double Income Single Kid) is largely responsible for the demographic fall.
In addition to a rapidly falling fertility rate, India today faces another demographic challenge of illegal immigration and unnatural #DemographicChange.
As a counter to this, the Prime Minister has announced the ‘High-Powered Demography Mission’. This initiative aims to counter #IllegalImmigration, prevent unnatural demographic shifts in border regions and safeguard the livelihoods and lands of indigenous and vulnerable populations.
A nation’s demographic future is secured in two ways: by preventing unnatural demographic distortions and by ensuring natural demographic renewal. This future will be secured only when #children are recognised not merely as a personal choice but as the carriers of a nation's future, culture and prosperity.
‘#Demography is the destiny of societies, communities and nations’.
To be very frank, once you start watching varied genres of K-drama like ‘We all are trying here’ ‘Typhoon Family’, ‘Mr. Plankton’, ‘Art of Sarah’, etc. there is no going back. The portrayal of unexplainable and abstract emotions apart from slow burn is worth watching.

I wonder what makes Indian parents boast about their children settled abroad. Colonial mindset is the downfall of one’s cultural identity. Most family gatherings are now reduced to people boasting about settling abroad and humiliating those settled in India. It reeks.
Watching this K-drama ‘We all are trying here’. It is a slice of life/vignette style story with some nerve cracking macabre humour. The lead actor Koo Kyo-hwan’s acting sense is beyond fathoming. His micro-expressions and timing are a masterclass in method acting. What a show!
12 long years of anticipation of the series’ finale, and here it went live just like that. The end was as sombre as expected; the storyline met in full circle. But the void will be felt every year when there won’t be a new season to look forward to. Jamie and Claire.
