ETH staking rewards come from two layers of the protocol, and they behave very differently.

The Consensus Layer pays validators for attestations and block proposals. It's predictable and protocol-driven, about 90–93% of total rewards.

The Execution Layer captures priority fees and MEV when a validator proposes a block. It's variable and market-driven.
