@BpopeTV No, these are canon!
Chicago’s own Eve Ewing also just had a book - Exceptional X-Men - that was set in Chicago (I believe Bridgeport) and introduced some new mutants alongside Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost.
@JosephKahn The takeaway is that there’s something broken in John because he’s based his entire concept of love and self-worth on his father’s withholding of affection unless he showed an absurd level of fearlessness. I promise you, these writers weren’t being careless with this scene.
@JosephKahn If I may, you’ve misread the intent of this scene. It’s not meant to depict good parenting, nor be received as the right way to go about toughening up a son. Until we see the apple/gun, that whole scene was framed as though those children get whooped on a regular basis.
I will choose to believe that Dolly isn’t gone, she’s slaying the Balrog and will return as Dolly the White just when all seems lost, and you are just going to have to let me have this.
@BpopeTV I feel like I can’t see the jerseys.
“We wanna show off the jerseys. Caleb, cross your arms and spread out your hands. 🧐 Not enough. Can we get some big-ass letters and a logo over the image? Perfect. Now let’s zoom in so you can’t even tell what part you’re looking at.”
