@thesarkyclerk Loopy Lou feels the same.. where’s my routine gone...??
Missing agenda prep, paper distribution, seething up rooms and greeting governors, taking minutes and typing them up.. so bad I’m even missing one of the governors who lets me know I’ve forgotten a full stop ...
@thesarkyclerk@SarkyClarkey wish it was... just one more get up and it’s the weekend... time for two sets of minutes and pupil discipline letters... I know how to live
@katiecpd@clare_collins@NGAMedia@ASCL_UK The scr should be maintained by one point of contact at the school, if the school is in a mat then each school should maintain and make reference to each school in the group. A safeguarding link governor should undertake regular visits to include the checking of all policies
@katiecpd ##ukgovchat I sometimes feel that governors could take more responsibility for governance, when it’s not great Clerks feel guilty that they should or could have done more yet when they do and it goes well the praise is missing, maybe the question should be about governors
@tomasth89@21C_gov@katiecpd#ukgovchat , it is the governors responsibility to hold school leaders to account, the clerk can help and guide them but is unable to do the job for them.
@katiecpd#ukgovchat ... an advisor can do just that, advise... governors need to be proactive in their duties and take responsibilities for effective governance and not leave it purely to their clerk.
