Republicans banning abortion and defunding planned parenthood while also hating women who have lots of kids and are on food stamps is a certain level of irony to me
Frontier Airlines worker refuses to let a man check into his flight, taunts him as he tries rushing so he doesn't miss his flight.
Man: "I paid for a ticket."
Worker: "You didn't pay $25 for an agent assist fee. Hello? And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight."
Infuriating.
Christmas baking with my mother ended up being… We were up until 2 am. I drank a bottle and a half of wine, peed my pants from choking on a pretzel, and then put my hand in a ceiling fan.
My biggest social downfall is the way I will make plans and then day of decide I don’t want to go and stay home 😭 I’m convinced if I didn’t live with my boyfriend I would never see him either 😂
Having an attitude like this should be openly and harshly shamed.
If you think you’re going to be upset by the gender of your baby, maybe don’t spend a bunch of money on the reveal and have a party over it.
I two months ago had a doctor recommend I get a gastric sleeve, to which I said I didn’t think I needed surgery to lose weight, and he said “well, just talk to your boyfriend about it and let me know”. And that really just rubbed me the wrong way.
I remember the time when I gave birth to my daughter. They had to keep me in the hospital for 10 days because I wasn’t feeling well. Every time I tried to stand up, I fainted. At one point, I even stopped breathing, according to my husband. He panicked and called a friend who was a cardiologist. The friend’s response was, “You know, sometimes our wives just want attention because they’re going through a hard time.” My husband got angry and insisted that someone be sent to check on me. When the resident came, my husband simply said, “Just watch.” He helped me stand up, and I don’t remember what happened next. When I regained consciousness, I saw a room full of doctors around me, all in a panic because I had stopped breathing again. That’s when they realized it wasn’t just an “attention-seeking” move.
Why am I telling you this? I’m not sure—maybe because I feel that many women, especially those with chronic and complicated illnesses, have had similar experiences. If you want to share yours, quote this with #MedicalMisogyny.
@AdrianneCurry When I was 26 I got off birth control after being on it since I was 17. I’m still a few years away from wanting kids, but stories like these are why I wanted to get my body away from that stuff now
