So @Activision and @CallofDuty - I was prepared to pre-order #MW4 because I’ve played #DMZ since it came out. But after trying to play with my bros this evening, with the amount of cheating going on, I put my credit card back in my wallet and will wait to make my decision. Sad.

I've been reading a history of the CBC by David Cayley and it's actually depressing to read what a positive effect it had on forming Canadian culture and identity in our country in the 1900s compared to the mess it is now.
I think if Canada is ever going to have a cohesive culture again, the revitalization of the CBC - rather than its demise - will have to be a key part of it.

I think about August 15, 2024. The day Larry Thompson bought the #Elks franchise and saved the team from financial disaster. He said his goal was to get the team back to it's winning ways. Then Chris Morris, Ed Hervey, and Mark Kilam came aboard to fix the internal structure of the organization, and they did that.

Then it was finding the right players on the field which isn't easy to do. Ed Hervey and his staff did the hard work to find not just to find talented players but to find good people. 2025 was rough but something was being built. Fast forward to present day and the Elks are headed back to the post-season for the first time in six...very...long...years.

The Thompson Family led by Deb continues to lead the way and provide the stability for the franchise. They are an awesome family and the Elks organization are run like a family. The most important relationship is the one they have re-established with the community. Long-time fans and building new fans.

The fans have been taken for granted, under-valued, and dismissed for too long by past regimes. This is their moment, a moment they have been waiting to see for far too long. An organization that cares and values their fans and a winning product.

There's still a lot of work to do but relish in that 'X' because it's a huge moment for the fans and the Elks organization.

Game recap will come in the morning.

[Ben Kramer @benyamen]

Dear CFL and card collector twitter,
This is a 2/2 Eugene Lewis patch from SP Game Used 2021.
I'd love to to buy the 1/2 if anyone has it or has seen it.

@benyamen @CFL I recall doing something very similar to this 20 years ago with NFL fantasy draft with very few problems. Can’t the CFL just buy one of those old CBS servers to run this?!

[Dave Naylor @TSNDaveNaylor]

It’s that time of year …

@benyamen Tre Ford made the Ti-Cats look like the Ti-Cats.

@AzorcanGlobal Elks scored 30+ points. No need for a QB change. Defence gave up 480 passing yards. That’s where the change needs to come from.

[Jared Goertzen @lovesguitar]

@1CFLAtt An offence that scored 30+ points isn’t the problem. Giving up 480 passing yards is definitely a problem.

[Jared Goertzen @lovesguitar]

@benyamen @GoElks @Dave_CHED That’s the only reason I could think of. It’s certainly not for privacy.

Why do the @GoElks hold up these boards when calling in defensive plays? @Dave_CHED
