@lpryan24 who is a MS student at @KSUWheat program at @KStateAgron presenting first year of data on his research, replicating what #wheat growers are doing in their own fields to maximize yields. @cropsssa C3 MS student competition! Thanks @KansasWheat for the support!
@KSUWheat group left manhattan 5 am today and didn’t get to hotel until 10:30 pm! Long day but many @KansasWheat plots down near Leoti, KS, in collaboration with @hortonseed
First #wheat plots of the season are in the ground near Hutchinson! Here we are evaluating the use of varieties for dual purpose (forage yield, first hollow stem and grain yield after grazing), among other trials. Students @lpryan24 and Luiz taking the lead on the drill.
@KSUWheat team celebrating Brent’s successful PhD defense and the end of harvest of another great #wheat season! Awesome group! Moving wheat research forward (sometimes) fueled by beef ribs and picanha!
Harvest 2021 is complete! Finished our last plots last night near Leoti. Yields ranged from 95-140 bu/ac in our IWM study looking at how often higher mgmt intensity increases yield and if it pays off economically. Great job to the entire @KSUWheat team on a successful harvest!
Very hardworking @KStateAgron master students @lpryan24 and @ngiordano96 have been leading the harvest activities in our group this 2020-21 #wheat season! @KSUWheat crew keeps going strong until rains stop us! Be on the lookout for results from several @KansasWheat projects!
