🚨CLASSMATES REFUSED TO SIGN HIS YEARBOOK. HE SIGNED IT HIMSELF. 💔
12-year-old Brody Ridder asked his classmates to sign his yearbook. Most said no outright. Only two students and two teachers wrote anything at all.
Devastated, he wrote a note to himself instead: "Hope you make some more friends. Brody Ridder."
His mom posted it to the school's parent Facebook group, heartbroken.
The next day, older students, kids from junior high and high school who'd heard what happened, showed up to his classroom in waves. They filled every empty page with messages, phone numbers, even a gift bag.
By the end of the day, Brody had over 100 signatures. Even Paul Rudd reached out personally to talk chess and dinosaurs with him. 🥹
"This is the best day ever," Brody said.
“There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.”
Kindness, humbleness, love, hardwork, equality with everyone is the biggest key to success in life!!!

@plthomasEdD For all of those that have left instructional models that were working for your district because your State or district shifted to SOR, just know you’re welcome to return to instructional practices that worked prior to mandates. Build a culture that makes you proud!
“The “Sold a Story” podcast takes the fabricated phonics debate a step further, attacking the integrity of a group of educators who have led pioneering research and helped advance our field.”
