⏰ TIMELINE THURSDAY ⏰
The Disappearance of Brandon Swanson
On the night of May 13, 2008, 19-year-old Brandon Swanson was driving home after celebrating the end of his college semester when his car became stuck in a rural ditch in southwestern Minnesota.
He called his parents for help.
For the next 47 minutes, they stayed on the phone, trying desperately to find each other in the dark.
Brandon decided to leave his vehicle and walk toward what he believed were nearby lights. As he crossed fields and fences, he continued talking with his father.
Then, without warning, he said:
"Oh, shit."
The call remained connected briefly, but Brandon never spoke another word.
His parents searched through the night. His car was eventually found nearly 25 miles from where Brandon believed he was, and despite extensive searches over the past 18 years, he has never been found.
Brandon's disappearance also led to the passage of Brandon's Law in Minnesota, helping improve how missing adult cases are handled.
Today, we follow the timeline, not to speculate, but to remember Brandon and to keep his story alive.
Because every minute matters. Because every detail counts. Because someone may still hold the missing piece.
