[Commandant of the @USMC @CMC_MarineCorps]

Before we formed a Nation, we formed a Corps of Marines. For 250 years @USMC has fought & won our country’s battles in every clime & place. Our legacy & warrior ethos have been forged in combat & passed down through generations. We are the few, the proud. Happy Birthday, Marines!

According to NFL Communications, there are only two QBs in NFL history with 3 games of 3+TD passes and a passer rating of 140+in first two seasons, and both went to Iowa universities:

Kurt Warner & Brock Purdy.

A frequent critique of the public sector is often raised in the form of a rhetorical question that goes something like this… “Why doesn’t the government run like a business?” https://t.co/Xs9pQiaaWW

And it’s official - my comedy video from 10 years ago predicted the future… @notthefakeSVP sent @ESPNCaddie to the Pimento Cheese stand as part of their continuing coverage of #themasters.

Hello Friends - As #themasters tees off today, and on the heels of Jim Nantz's heartfelt goodbye to the NCAA Tournament earlier this week, it is without shame I present my 2014 winning entry from the @dpshow Jim Nantz impression contest. https://t.co/Jr7DzvFN69

These themes of progress — transparency and accountability, efficiency and effectiveness — are foundational elements to the public administration profession dating back more than a century.

[Lucas Casey @lucasjcasey]

The RFP is one of many methods for improving transparency and accountability in pursuit of a more efficient and effective government.

They did it. #Hawkeyes will play for the championship. Iowa stuns #1 SC, 77-73.

In a showdown that exceeded the hype, Iowa coaches had a brilliant game plan, and the incomparable Caitlin Clark. Shes playing a different game. 41 points, including final 13. 8 assists.

Wow.

Happy Birthday, Marines!

For 247 years, Marines have fought in any clime and place to defend our nation. Today, we reflect on the legacy of our Corps, and rededicate ourselves to fighting and winning the battles that lie ahead. #SemperFi

I settled on this because I have spent most of my adult life explaining - and re-explaining - it to my suburban neighbors.

[Lucas Casey @lucasjcasey]

For me, it's... "The reason you live in the City of ABC and your kids go to XYZ Schools is because...

[Chris Goodman @cbgoodman]

I often think about what one thing I could force people to learn about local govt.

I've settled on, "whatever you know about your current situation is likely not transferrable to anywhere else, particularly in another state."

NYC ≠ LA ≠ Chicago.

[Lucas Casey @lucasjcasey]

... there are different types and forms of local government entities.

They have different purposes, different governing bodies, and different jurisdictional boundaries.

Some of those boundaries are more or less fixed while some can change... and they overlap."
