@RichardDawkins I did a postgrad course in creative writing at Cambridge a couple of years ago. A woman with a beard came to do a talk on public speaking who asked us all to specify our preferred pronouns. She said she was non binary and referred to herself as ze/zer. It was utterly ridiculous!
@DianaBr95650186 @MarkHiggie1 @Telegraph It was very weird given that the acting community is always going on about cultural appropriation, when the characters in the book are white children!
@BBCNews An apology isn’t good enough. They allowed the LIE that the book was “centred on this white middle-class woman’s harmful, judgmental and bigoted views on race, class and body image”, and used racist stereotypes” to describe pupils to fester.
It’s a truly inspiring book!
I read this book a few years ago and agree with @PhilipPullman that it’s the best book on teachers and children and writing that I’ve ever read.
There is nothing racist in it - @KateClanchy1 inspired marginalised children to write poetry!
A measly apology is not good enough.
Lucy Beney, who wrote our research paper ‘Suffer The Children: Why Having a ‘Mental Health Professional’ in Every School is not the Answer’, speaking in this important debate at #BattleFest 2025. You can read her paper, here: https://t.co/IcOJH7Foli
Here he is at the Battle of Ideas last year being escorted out by security after he started disrupting a female panel about the importance of single sex spaces.
He got right in people’s faces filming and taking pictures and was ushered out after becoming verbally aggressive.
1 / This is the guy who stalks #LetWomenSpeak in London and posed as a detransitioned woman to get friendly with some of the regulars and get info / contact details.
He tries to get people arrested for any and every reason so if you ever see him *do not engage*
He even wore Kellie-Jay merchandise and had an adult human female flag to pretend he was ‘on our side’.
I watched Channel 4’s grim documentary on OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue so you don’t have to!
We should be very worried about the rising number of young women wanting to be like her as well as the huge amount of men of subscribe to her vile videos.

Unless he is charged with enciting anti-Semitic racial hatred and sentenced in the same manner as Lucy Connolly, this is solid evidence of a political system than only arrests people based on a one-way political agenda. #TwoTierJustice#TwoTierKeir
@_F_B_G_ My brother was born 10 weeks premature and given a 50/50 chance of surviving. I was 7 weeks early. This was in the 70s yet we both grew up without any health issues.
Neonatal care has improved dramatically since then.
MPs have just legalised murdering babies. It’s evil 😢
I was born 7 weeks early, my brother was born 10 weeks early. I have a friend with a 20 year old son who was born at 26 weeks gestation.
We all grew up into healthy adults with no developmental delays.
Killing babies up to the point of birth is murder, not ‘healthcare’. 😢
@timothy_stanley There is an extreme cognitive dissonance that people can be outraged by the deaths of premature babies killed by Lucy Letby (some born at just 23 weeks gestation) but celebrate murdering full term babies moments before birth. What next - post-birth abortions?
