I spoke up for farmers in Parliament yesterday.
Labour Ministers sat there laughing - all whilst farmers watched on from the public gallery.
This is the level of disrespect our farmers have come to expect 👇

This is going down like a sack of spuds on every social media platform.
Many teachers sharing their experiences from the frontline right now. This is a particularly poignant one…
More examples of the #fluffylanguage used by schools to hide their barbaric use of restraint and seclusion of children.
"A CUDDLE on the floor"
"Reverse CUDDLE"
"Physically supported"
"Sanctuary"
"Reflection Room"
"Rainbow Room"
Don't be fooled by the fluff.

On SNJ Today: The @CommonsEd@helenhayes_ seems a bit sceptical in her reply to Bridget Phillipson's letter that said #SEND changes will be “co-created” Who can blame her—and we're here for it! @TaniaLT brought the popcorn 👀 🍿

“SEND register decisions are a ‘mystery’ warn experts” When the SEND Code of Practice was developed, DfE wanted less prescription for SENCOs to “be creative” We said they often didn’t have the training to know. But what did we know, we were only parents..

Academy Trust CEO pay is out of control.
💷 Some are earning over £500,000 a year - in publicly funded education.
This cannot be justified while schools struggle for resources.
It’s time for a CEO pay spine and a pay cap.
We need money spent on classrooms not boardrooms.
“Our study shows Autism charities portray autistic people as a problem—helpless and a burden –In contrast, charities represent themselves as the solution to this problem” https://t.co/wRXbP1kXYW
One in 12 secondary pupils put in isolation rooms at least once a week, study finds, often for more than 8 hours.

The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.
And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.
If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from Father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early, you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.
Saw this & thought I'd repost.
On SNJ Today: Independent accountability group, Measure What Matters discusses its evidence showing the law on SEND hasn't failed, it's been systematic undermined by LAs. MWM say the Government is wilfully ignoring the truth. Please share with your MP.

"These technologies have not only empowered Laura but have enabled those around her to see her abilities rather than limitations – her sharpness, her preferences, and her humour."
A fantastic blog from our friends at @LeonardCheshire. https://t.co/AHOm2uiWH0
"The government is to delay publishing its long-awaited overhaul of SEND provision in England as ministers seek to build a coalition among parents to support its changes" No surprise if true, given the strength of feeling of MPs at the recent debate. https://t.co/RTcS50hv9G
