Happy Friday everybody!
Remember that giving some flowers, a hand written letter, treating them to some food, or even a simple text or phone call can go a long way in making somebody’s day.
Don’t forget to love others today with all your heart!
St. Valentine was imprisoned, beheaded and buried on Feb 14th, 269 AD in Via Flaminia (outside of Rome) for aiding persecuted believers & marrying Christian couples.
He was known for extraordinary miracles including healing the jailers daughter of blindnsss in the prison where he was unjustly held. The jailer then granted freedom to all Christian inmates because of his miracle!
St Valentine continued to refuse to denounce his faith in Christ. He was sentenced to be beaten & beheaded.
On the day of his execution, February 14th, he wrote a note to the girl he healed from blindness signed ‘Your Valentine’
Valentines Day is MORE than a commercialized holiday, but a reminder to pray for the persecuted church, cheer on those who are aiding them and boldly
profess the love of Jesus in the face of any consequences.

Maturing is realizing that a life lived for Jesus Christ is the most successful life you could ever live. Nothing else compares to it or even comes close.
most of your "adult" problems can be avoided if you:
- regularly workout
- get a 2nd income source
- eat real food
- find 3 real friends
- live below your means
- do what you love for work
- don't have kids with the wrong person
Being God, Christ knew all that was going to happen to Him. (John 18:4).
He knew in painstaking detail the events that were to follow soon after He was betrayed by one of His very own disciples.
He knew He was about to undergo trials where all of the witnesses against Him would lie.
He knew that many who had hailed Him as the Messiah only days earlier would now be screaming for His crucifixion.
He knew He would be flogged nearly to the point of death before they pounded the metal spikes into His flesh.
He knew the prophetic words of Isaiah spoken seven centuries earlier that He would be beaten so badly that He would be “disfigured beyond that of any man” and “beyond human likeness."
Jesus was so anxious the night before his crucifixion that while praying in the Garden of Gethsemane he was sweating blood.
All of this, and He did it anyway.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
(John 15:13)
Happy Good Friday.
This is incredible.
Just years ago I never would have believed I’d hear a Salvadoran President lecture the US about the “dark forces” that control our nation…..
….and yet I totally agree.
