I think people dont get the real problem of the video. IT makes great points on just how unpractical long-distance manned interstellar travel is, and they are correct.
Where they fumble is by claiming those exoplanets are "boring" which is ridiculous and in no way true.
I stopped watching Kurzgesagt years ago after they were exposed and decided to watch this video as I was curious (huge mistake)
Absolutely terrible, they try to cover their ridiculous doomerism with "well maybe it could happen, the NYT was wrong about humans flying!"
Interstellar is VERY hard with not a lot of rewards for the ones onboard but, we tend to forget people exist that will give their whole lives to a mission exploring another solar system and we know how to design the vehicles for such.
We will 100% see interstellar unmanned probe missions in our lifetime and possibly even manned ones. Humans will always push towards the next frontier, this weird anti-space doomerism is not going to stop us
Dude Im in no universe an Elon fan but this really isnt a big deal. What difference does it make if its a rock or a rocket stage, especially for such a small crater.
An abandoned SpaceX rocket travelling at around 5,400mph is expected to crash into the moon, leaving a crater with a diameter of around 17m. (via BBC)
The collision is expected to take place today at 7:35 BST, just under an hour from the time of this post.
I don't care how overrated people think Nolan's movies are, there hasn't been a single movie of his I haven't absolutely loved.
I have never seen such good combination between genuinely good filmmaking and commercial spectacle, and the Odissey isn't the exception.
You can really just admit you like how it tastes.
The internet has this obsession with justifying every little thing they do as morally correct, no, Its morally wrong to eat meat, you can just keep doing it?
@opheliafaye_@milevencats He has an inferiority complex, he doesnt like being protected. This combined with mikasa being over-protective and he feels emasculated
@TheButtercupRat@G1iscorpio Helping the antagonist that kidnapped a police officer, his dad and almost kidnapped his mother while at the same time sabotaging his friends behind their back isn't pretty cool.
