@eric_seufert @andrewjfaris @fIorianlitterst @andrewfoxwell Max Schrems, the privacy campaigner who the filed the original GDPR complaint against Meta back in May 2018, apparently said: “The GDPR covered (…) also on things like your age, which is not a ‘behaviour’. We will continue litigation if Meta will not apply the law fully.”

@andrewjfaris @eric_seufert @fIorianlitterst @andrewfoxwell The way I understand it is that Meta in the EU can’t use any 1st party data for targeting anymore unless a user actively consents. So no demographic or behavioral data collected in-app at all. Supposedly this will roll out by October.
