A month ago, at this hour, I had to tell my two daughters - 3.5 years old and 20 months old - that they must remain completely silent. No word, no cry.
It was 7AM, they had just woken up in a dark room with no electricity or food, and five people were shouting outside the window.
@eric_seufert@andrewjfaris@fIorianlitterst@andrewfoxwell Max Schrems, the privacy campaigner who the filed the original GDPR complaint against Meta back in May 2018, apparently said: “The GDPR covered (…) also on things like your age, which is not a ‘behaviour’. We will continue litigation if Meta will not apply the law fully.”
@andrewjfaris@eric_seufert@fIorianlitterst@andrewfoxwell The way I understand it is that Meta in the EU can’t use any 1st party data for targeting anymore unless a user actively consents. So no demographic or behavioral data collected in-app at all. Supposedly this will roll out by October.
