@agile_phil@Lynton_Green@privatehireguy@agile_phil but what about mixed charging, half comes from solar and half comes from the grid at the same time? Sounds like you wouldn’t get 6 full hours of grid energy in this scenario
@agile_phil What are you doing about solar? E.g. if someone if your car is charging 1kW from the grid and the rest from your solar production then it wouldn’t be fair to limit to 6h of 1kW grid usage
@agile_phil@DaveLunt97@OhmeEV Octopus are telling us that you should not ever be limiting our EV chargers to anything below 7kW ever, so please can you stop as they’re implementing changes in January that would penalise us if this continues to happen
@g__j had a broken EV charger installed a week ago by Octopus and they still haven’t rectified or even given me any information about when they’re going to sort it despite numerous calls
@janrosenow@IEA This appears to show that air-water heat pumps cost significantly more to run than gas condensing boilers?
There’s also another issue of needing planning permission if the heat pump unit would come within 1 metre of your property boundary, which is the case for me.
@g__j@simoncgallagher@psbroke I used to be with Green Energy UK and the tariff I was on had zero standing charge which saved me a lot of money as my usage was so low. Why can’t Octopus do that? 47p per day is just a massive punishment for people with solar panels.
@OctopusEnergy My faulty smart meter was exchanged for a new smart meter 10 days ago, not yesterday. You have been receiving half-hourly readings before then and since then. So I should be sent one already.
@KateRoseMorley please could you explain what you mean by the record wind power of 15.871 GW as it says online that we hit 19.916 GW in May this year which is much higher than today?
@agile_phil please can you respond to my message and update me? It’s been 6 months now and I’m still no closer to finding out whether Octopus are stealing my energy or if Sunsynk are misreporting my energy causing octopus to steal my money.
@MartinSLewis@ofgem Why does everywhere say it’s an 80% increase when the gas unit price has gone up 100% and electricity 83% and standing charges have both gone up too so how does that make 80%?
@agile_phil I’ve just seen your article around the Powerwall Smart Meter issue and believe I’m seeing the same issue with my Sunsynk battery. When using battery my smart meter shows a constant draw of 100w, using more power actually makes this drop which makes no sense at all.
@youmemmatsix Did you sign up for a fixed tariff? They tend to be a lot more expensive than the standard variable tariffs at the moment. The standard variable tariffs are limited to the price cap whereas the fixed tariffs go way above it.
Thank you @jessiej for spending 42 hours with me this year on @Spotify. You are my #1. I’m in your top 0.005% of listeners. #SpotifyWrapped https://t.co/TxMKVuNug1
