Wrigley Fans giving a standing ovation to Baez, a visiting player, who hit 3 HRs in his debut for the same team that intentionally walked Michael Busch, in the 2nd to last game of the season last year (meant nothing to either team in the standings), when he had a chance to hit for the cycle. Just sayin, #WrigleyGetsIt @Cubs
If the left wants solar panels, put them on top of every single parking lot in the state and leave the farms alone! I wouldn't mind parking in the shade, and you can have your unreliable energy source without wrecking all the prime farmland. Or does that make TOO much sense?
🚨 US House Rules Committee yesterday voted 6–4 to advance the Sunshine Protection Act to the floor. It would mandate permanent Daylight Saving Time and immediately prohibit future state-level exemptions. 👉 Tell Congress to replace it with the Sunshine for Our Kids Act!
Standing here at the back of the Ponce Monolith at Tiwanaku, you can see details that connect this figure to cultures across the ancient world. The turban, the braided hair falling down the back, these are the same styling choices we see in Etruscan statues...
Chicago’s most effective jobs program isn’t run by its local government.
It's happening through grassroots neighborhood block clubs.
Fortunately, the 34 neighborhoods with the highest unemployment rates in Chicago are exclusively on the South and West sides.
Low-income Chicagoans face two main barriers to finding gainful work:
Criminal records and a lack of transportation.
City Hall has repeatedly failed to fix this, but block clubs are actively working to solve it as we speak.
It works like this:
>Block club leaders personally vouch for residents, convincing employers to hire people despite criminal backgrounds.
>Leaders are buying vans and organizing daily carpools to transport workers to suburban warehouses.
>They are paying local youth to clean alleys and maintain community gardens, teaching job skills and neighborhood pride.
The problem? Chicago policies stand in the way. Strict occupational licensing and convoluted vacant lot permitting are choking out these localized, free-market solutions.
Cut the red tape.
Nicole Shanahan exposes the shocking practice in US farming that's banned in Europe.
Spraying glyphosate on crops right before harvest to dry them out faster.
Europe BANNED this risky desiccation practice years ago because of the heavy chemical residues left in our food.
We're literally eating it — in wheat, oats, beans, you name it. Scientists have begged the EPA to stop this for OVER A DECADE.
Nicole's fighting back: “This is one of the EASIEST things we could fix right now.”
Watch this eye-opening clip — it will change how you see your grocery cart & the 'safety' of our food.👇
Yungblud took a moment during his Melbourne show to speak up for the Iranian people. He referenced Mahsa Amini, saying: “Two years ago, I spoke about a girl named Mahsa Amini from Iran who was murdered for not wearing her hijab.”
He highlighted the current situation in the country: “This revolution is led by the women, and for four days they’ve had their internet cut off, their electricity cut off, they are in darkness.” And encouraged fans to use their voices: “They are asking for our voice… Speak! Shout! Post! Because they are fighting for freedom.”
