"consumers gravitating towards their products". How did you reach this conclusion? We know the top-line is growing ~10%, but that doesn't necessarily mean more customers.
Adobe doesn't report churn, or customer level data like that. Adobe's "strength" is in its large enterprise contracts, which are probably negotiated by boomers who are not aware of alternatives in the pipeline.
Bottom line is, in this "AI era" we are living through, 10% top-line growth, seemingly 0 revenue uplift from AI and terrible products makes Adobe pretty unsexy
dw, my guess is it’ll be a complete flop for the most part, or at least for the next 5 years. To date, there’s been very little real world change as a result of ai, other than people using chat gpt. VCs are just forcing the AI hype down our throats so they can collect more of our pension money and collect their 2% fee
met a professor a few weeks back
the guy is incredible, he has so many ideas that could be spun out
he said he knows some of them would be viable, but because he has no business knowledge, he makes an academic paper on it instead
everyone is hyping capabilities of ai so much, but sometimes all that is missing is a few conversations and a couple hours of modeling, especially in the UK
Anyone else ran into this?
im interested in the sustainable/bio materials space - if anyone has a startup idea, and wants to verify whether there is a business case for it, id be happy to do some modeling to verify
could even connect you with angels and VCs
DMs are open
met up with a friend for drinks who is working at a boutique investment bank
he intro’ed me to one of his colleagues who asked me “what’s the largest deal you’ve been on?”
i said “i don’t do IB, so $0”
he subsequently 180’ed his body, and that was that
