I think weโve all been taken aback by how profound an effect this is having on us.
I certainly have.
The fact this is uncharted territory is why it feels unprecedented- weโve never lost a player like that in the prime of their career, one weโve watched and celebrated for years.
But it only stands to reason that someone who brought us so much happiness and joy, someone who made our lives better and gave us moments we will remember forever, would have an impact of this magnitude on us all.
And whilst we didnโt have to know him personally, in the end it felt like we did.
And for that reason Diogo Jota will always be symbolic of the love and unity of Liverpool, and thatโs a beautiful thing.
