@ANoor98123@Shireen1114@SaiqalAl Not at all. As we’ve seen in class, these ads are ridiculous. They need to change their whole advertising campaign and emphasize different benefits one can achieve through this product, rather than just whitening and how it apparently brings “success” #BSE18
@SaiqalAl@ManIsWeak True, but it might not be quickly enough due to other expenses incurred. Also, they might not earn enough during the specific time period that they have to pay the loan back. #BSE18
@Shireen1114@haninn_el @MikaNotFatima @AmnasDiary I doubt it. The father may start purchasing food instead of tobacco, but the want for it increases. This results in the father continuing to buy tobacco. #BSE18
@r5678910@haninn_el @MikaNotFatima @AmnasDiary Agreed. There has to be another way without decreasing their autonomy to decide what they should or should not buy. #BSE18
@MaryamCMUQ @_almuraikhi7 That’s entirely possible. Many individuals might focus more on gaining trust rather than portraying their trustworthiness. #BSE18
@haninn_el@TaimaaALM Agreed. This would discourage companies from deviating from the law if they know that there will be authoritative figures that will check if they are being followed. #BSE18
@LiyanAlhakeem @_Cantzon_@OMElSaka Fair and lovely isn’t necessarily harmful in terms of short term usage. Is it okay to advertise it then? Despite their discriminatory ad campaign? #BSE18
@Shireen1114@TaimaaALM@AlbandariAlMana Maybe having representatives from their country that will make sure their rights are being exercised and not taken advantage of. This way they might feel less scared to report something. #BSE18
@TaimaaALM@AlbandariAlMana The fact that some of these laws aren’t even being followed today is problematic in itself. Making these laws stricter will help secure the rights of these workers. This should be the primary purpose of these laws and others opinions on them are of slight importance. #BSE18
@AmnasDiary Why not though? Why shouldn’t these countries be responsible? I think at least one of these countries, if not both, should be held responsible of making sure these workers are getting the rights and respect they deserve. #BSE18
@ANoor98123@MalekAlmanaa@IshaqHaj also play a big part in making sure that these workers still have their rights and are respected by the new community. #BSE18
@ANoor98123@MalekAlmanaa@IshaqHaj Agreed. If they are bringing these workers to work in a different country, then the parties involved in this process are also responsible for the workers wellbeing. The government of the country they came from should #BSE18
