This really was a great assignment! Not only did it allow us to be able to expand and put plans to our ideas, but it allowed us to get ideas from our classmates as well! #ED300
I actually really love this Transforming Ed project. It is so cool to see the different things that could be added to classrooms to either make learning more fun or easier! #ed300
Thoughts on year-round school? For or against? If you are for it, why? Does your environment influence your answer? Are you answering as a teacher or as a student? Many things to consider. #ED300
Thoughts on having virtual school when we are not in the middle of a pandemic? The textbook mentions it as a possibility. (Again, the irony) What do you think? Would it be a positive change? #ED300
Has anyone had a class or teacher that used a classroom blog? They sound super interesting and helpful! I’m curious to know if they are as great as they sound! #ED300
What are your thoughts on the IRDs? I like that they are anonymous to the class, but the teacher has the capability to find out who it was. This allows the students to not have to be self-conscious when answering a question they might be unsure of. #ED300
I think Smartboards are a perfect invention to have a eco-friendly way to present knowledge. We waste less paper and use less devices to display content. It is unfortunate that they are so expensive, but I feel that they are a good investment if schools can afford them. #ED300
#IM42X Are Smartboards unnecessary and over-hyped? I've helped in schools who had one in each classroom and some schools not at all. They're fun and cool, teachers and kids love them. However, you can do similar tasks with whiteboard, magnets, computers and other screens.
@nari78 Haha I haven’t before either!😂 The goal is to have us reflect on our lives and think about what we want to accomplish. It should help us realize our deepest desires so we can focus on those and make them happen! It’s very beautiful, but a little morbid😅
If we got our field experience hours at the Boys and Girls Club, will we need anything else from them other than a log of our hours? @ProfCarlsonSCSU #ED300
This is important for all of us to remember, always. Even now. Any time we are dealing with humans, and their reaction is different than expected, something else is up. It’s our job and responsibility to be patient and kind, and help them. @MrTomRad #ED300
Learning how to make both positive and negative phone calls home to parents is soooo much important! Thanks for all the great tips, @ToddWhitaker ! #YourFirstYear#ED300
I struggle with new terms at times, but reading the book and listening to the lecture helped a lot! Repetition for the win (always)! The term “Subject area specialist” was a real 💡 moment for me. I’ve had many of these “teachers” and never knew what they were called! #ED300
How is your brain handling all of these new terms and philosophical ideas? What is something that you learned or that shouted out to you in this sea of knowledge we are treading in? #ed300
