@Cyber_Trailer This happen to my X after a pack replacement. They replaced the 12v every 30 days. Turns out there is some encryption device that locks all traffic and they ended up buying back my X.
Been loyal since day one, snagged every product, tested ‘em all. We’ve waited YEARS for HomeKit support; the security, ecosystem, and convenience are killer. Why bash alternatives we need ‘cause you won’t deliver? I’ve cycled 5 doorbells in 8 yrs & I’ll take ‘poor’ HomeKit over great Wyze sans integration. You know how to beat ’em? Add HomeKit/Matter! Loyalty fades when privacy calls. #Wyze #HomeKit”
Ultimate edge case that the Tesla Service is unable to answer.
I’m trying to outright purchase FSD before the deadline. But I can’t. My 2018 Model X 2.5 hardware must be upgraded first.
So I made that appointment the moment Tesla announced the February 14 deadline.
Only problem, the Fresno service center was so backed up the earliest appointment I could get was February 19th.
I got to thinking, is Tesla going to charge me all of the money for the full self driving and then not turn it on because it will be after the 14th? Subscription only?
The vehicle already has enhanced autopilot so I’m already $6000 into this.
Is there any Tesla employee that can help me find an answer to this question?
After I pay the rest of the money to get FSD, will I be the only person in America that has paid for it and won’t receive it?
I figured…why don’t I just pay now to make sure that I beat the deadline ; Unfortunately, they can’t charge me for the upgrade until the service is complete on changing the computer chip.
Help.
And now when I look at the app, it’s claiming that I’ll be eligible to subscribe instead of simply turning it on. That’s not what it said when I made my service appointment.

@FidelityNhw is a scam, purchased a policy for my HVAC system for the last 7 years, and after they threw $2k worth of parts in 2025 after a misdiagnosis from the responding company, they refused to cover the zone board that is essential to proper operation, saying it is not covered. They refuse to contact their customers. Avoid!
