Abagusii could do head surgery before modern medicine, and the chances of survival and healing were 90%+. The surgeon with his team could even take a break to take some busaa before proceeding with the procedure. Epic!
Throughout the 43-County #UkatibaCaravan, wananchi were clear: corruption has reduced them to desperate beggars in their own country.
The extractive system has stripped millions of Kenyans of their dignity and their humanity.
At one of our stops, a visibly angry man was handed a microphone and asked what he would like the Maraga government to do for Kenyans. He uttered just two words: βFungaRuto.β
Read my full statement here:
BREAKING: The Ruto government is reportedly planning to lease a floating power plant (powership/ or barge) at the Mombasa coast to βsolveβ electricity shortages. ~BD
The plan? Import a giant power ship, likely from Turkeyβs Karpowership, plug it into Kenyaβs grid, then pay billions through a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).
And this is where Kenyans should ask hard questions.
Floating power plants can cost around KSh 15-32 per kWh, sometimes even higher. We've seen them in countries like Ghana. And you haven't added other costs like taxes.
Meanwhile:
- Ethiopia sells us power at roughly KSh 8
- Uganda at around KSh 9-12
So explain like we are in Class 3:
Why rent an expensive foreign ship to sell you electricity at 4 times per KW when cheaper electricity already exists next door? Aren't there other alternatives?
This is starting to smell like the same old IPP script:
Create a crisis.
Bring in an βemergency solution.β
Lock taxpayers into costly contracts for years.
A few connected people make billions.
Ordinary Kenyans keep paying expensive electricity bills forever.
The Ruto govt could be creating problems today that could punish this country for decades.
Good afternoon patriots. Here is your Lunchtime dose of anger. This should make you angry enough to avoid any nice looking thing near you.
Today at Milimani High Court.
Courtroom 31.
One man is challenging KSh 7 trillion of debt.
Borrowed in your name.
Without your approval.
Routed to offshore accounts instead of the Consolidated Fund.
KSh 12.4 trillion total.
And only 28.6% had proper legal backing.
The rest was just borrowed.
Quietly.
On your behalf.
While you were sleeping.
The political class is silent.
The media is silent.
The same media that covered Ruto's misquoting in real time.
Silent.
The same politicians who scream about the people on rally podiums.
Silent.
Because this case does not just challenge the debt.
It challenges everyone who borrowed it.
Past presidents.
Current presidents.
Treasury officials.
The IMF.
All named as respondents.
Now here is the question nobody is asking.
If Omtatah wins.
Who pays?
You.
The same Kenyan who did not borrow the money.
Did not approve the money.
Did not see the money.
Will pay back the money.
With SHA deductions.
And housing levy.
And dirty fuel taxes.
This is the most important court case in Kenya's history.
And it is trending below Ruto's English lessons.
Stand with Omtatah Kenya.
He is doing what the whole Parliament should be doing.
For free on your behalf.
Again. Make it trend as they do not want you to know about #DeniBandia
Dismas wa Tabu. Dreaming in installments. Billed in full.

The rise of armed militias threatens to plunge Kenya into a failed state.
On the Southern Bypass, in Kikuyu Town, Kitale Town and in Kisumu City, we have watched as militias have attacked unarmed civilians , with lukewarm response from the security forces.
The days of this violent regime are numbered.
Letβs register and vote to send this regime to Kamiti @UGMParty #ChukuaKura

If Gachagua vies for the presidency, Ruto will get a Second Term,
If Matiangβi vies for presidency, Ruto will get a Second term,
If Kalonzo vies, Ruto will get a second term,
If Raila vies, Ruto will get a Second term
Only the Maraga/Okiya ticket will send him home.
This moved me deeply.
On Easter weekend, a time of renewal and hope, you chose to wear our message on your chest, in front of thousands. That is not a small thing.
Kenya is watching. Kenya is waking up. And when artists of your integrity and voice stand with this movement, it tells our people that the demand for justice and honest leadership cuts across every stage, every generation.
Asante sana, @luhyaheat Captain Charisma. Keep making music that matters.
The movement is bigger than any one of us.
#UkatibaNdioTiba
Eight million shillings.
Given by Kenyans. Ordinary, determined, faithful Kenyans, who refuse to give up on this country.
I am humbled and deeply grateful.
But the work ahead is immense. To reset, rebuild and restore Kenya will take every one of us. Our prayers, our voices, and yes, our continued giving.
If you have not yet contributed, today is the day. If you have, tell someone. Share the details. Keep the fire burning.
This is not my campaign. This is Kenyaβs moment. Let us not waste it.

Kenyan skater Kevin Kiarie Ruhiu is all alone in Benin , he won two medals for Kenya at the International Challenge Cotonou Speed and Inline Freestyle Skating Championship.
In Burkina Faso π§π«, an Ethiopian engineer, Bijay Naiker, has signed an agreement with the government to establish what is described as Africaβs first satellite manufacturing facility. The center, planned within an industrial park, is expected to focus on satellite design, engineering, and production for sectors including telecommunications and Earth observation.
If realized, the project could strengthen Africaβs capacity to build its own space technology and reduce reliance on foreign satellite infrastructure, supporting areas such as climate monitoring, agriculture, and digital connectivity.
