@SandraNoDuerme That is, we need to think of the role US plays in this version of what seems like another staged attempt at destabilizing another oil-country. I wonder if non-elite people on the streets would be on the streets of US would lift the sanctions against the country?
@SandraNoDuerme I don’t know, Sandra. I feel like your post is an oversimplification of the issue. Has Maduro become more authoritarian, absolutely. Does his approach to governance resemble Chavez’s: doubtful. But we can’t just blame maduro. I think our analysis needs to be critical.
