@readysetcoteach A4: As the lead teacher, I think it is important to remember that our coteachers tend to see a lot of things that I don't. She has several classes with these students and has a better understanding of how they work and what works best for OUR students.

@readysetcoteach A3: the biggest roadblock would be the inability to compromise or take advice from a collaborator. As a first year teacher, I have a lot of new ideas but I also need guidance from veteran teachers on how to handle the situations that may arise from a classroom activity.

@readysetcoteach A2: Go into every conversation with the intent that we are working together for our students! We need to put personal feelings aside and work together to provide the best lessons and create a community that our students can thrive in.

@readysetcoteach A1: I actually was just in a conflicted relationship with a coworker, and after talking about it for a couple hours we both agree that there are times when we won't agree but we understand each other better! We also have a central concept and we are here for the kids!

Essential questions are similar to visible learning intentions. “Our task is to uncover the important ideas.” And it will help is to dig deeper; beyond the surface.

@DauseClause A6: The opportunity to receive advice on current situations. I feel that if I am going to a spend time in PD, I would love to talk to the speaker about situations I am currently going through instead of potential issues.

@DauseClause A5: As a first year teacher, I struggled with what was important and what isn't. I firmly believe that relationships are the best foundation when working with students. I have found empowerment when my students begin to feel as they can confide in me.

@DauseClause A4: An empowered classroom to me is student self accomplishment. I believe that when students learn to believe in themselves, it will carry them far in and outside of the classroom.

@DauseClause A3: I think partner PBL projects is a way that we can have students share their ideas and their view points. Autonomy in PBL can be done by having students create their own question and design a project they feel they can learn from the most.

@DauseClause A2: I am working hard to get students to see their potential. They quit when it is "too hard" because they are scared to fail. I work one on one with students at the beginning of a new concept, while encouraging the rest of the class to work in groups.

@DauseClause A1: Working with students on their perception of how they see themselves is amazing. Every Thursday, I work with my students on positive affirmations and how they can use it to help their perceptions of themselves, their peers, and family.

An important teaching practice that is often missed, is that our students see their teachers learn and practice in the same way that we ask out students to leave and practice in the classroom. #STEAMteams
