@lucasaganronald Go read Charly Wegelius' autobiography for a start. It's tough enough just to stay in the pro peloton, let alone race for the win against the living great for the sport. If they had focused on the aspects you mention, they would have chosen football instead.
@gussvenin@dnlbenson Kwiato hasn't raced since mid-March because of injury, also missing a big part of training blocks. If it wasn't for this, he would have surely made the cut. He was their best rider in the last couple of TdFs, active in the breakaways and ever-reliable as a domestique.
@MStdevote@cyclingontnt I've only noticed the fact that the so-called English commentary is not supported by Eurosport UK when I watched this video. I thought initially that there's a different set of commentators - albeit an inferior one - lined up for this race, or even that Hatch and co. left
@kinesiologui@dwrowland@Univ_St_Etienne@LIBM_lab@Unesp_Oficial I thought that there was a consensus on training protocols for anaerobic capacity. I heard it a few years ago in a scientific cycling podcast that in order for it to be effective, a sufficient rest between intervals is needed for the ATP stores to "replenish".
@nick_krontiris@hjluks The problem with these studies (sedentary adults) is that they aren't directly "scalable" to more trained groups, so it's rarely of use outside the researched group.
@DvsDtr @f1maiken @GCKUSSfan UAE must have thought that relatively short and steep climbs suit Pog more than Jonas and it's probably the last time that he can extend his lead. Vingegaard proved them wrong 🤌
@altini_marco Thanks, I'm using HRV4T for two months now but so far I've taken most of my measurements after waking up - in bed, in a slightly upright position. Training vol. is low and sessions are short but still I thought there's not enough variation in HRV between training and rest days.
