@jaimipatell Providing examples & statistics is really useful to show the company's integrity. I also think the employee programs are interesting, these should be used more in other organizations. I chose a brand that values inclusivity also, this is important for members to feel recognized
@RAlbrolisy Apple and Google are definitely companies full of effective leadership that would be useful exposure to important values. I always appreciate Google's focus on the user and creating the easiest experience.
#LIDCFall2022 I would love to work for the IT team of a company like Spotify. Spotify values an innovative and passionate environment as well as lots of collaboration. I also like the brand's emphasis of belonging and inclusivity. https://t.co/Uw5RypPf8h
@alykor4 I really like the tweet you cited, it shows a strong use of knowledge to create a powerful call to action. Greta is definitely a digitally present leader who knows how to use information and technology to create positive change. Online messages like this can create great impact.
@_ru2023 Michelle Obama is a super good example, I can think of a lot of movements and actions shes taken online compared to others. I feel like she is powerful in using the digital world to the best advantage and always spreading positive information.
#LIDCFALL2022 Ruben (2019) emphasizes not only the importance of a leader’s knowledge but also how this knowledge is applied effectively (skills). Gov. Phil Murphy is a leader with strong digital presence through daily news updates and effective information sharing & resources.
Painting a picture of how millions in direct investments from the state will help @AtlanticCityGov:
🚸 finance a citywide camera installation project
🌉enable critical infrastructure updates
🏗️fund public works projects & boardwalk repairs
I enjoyed this class and the focus on the impact technology can have on society. It was really eye opening to learn about technology's ability to create entire new markets and change the ways we function & connect as humans. Really makes me think about the future. #DigiTechS22B
One takeaway from this course I discussed is the idea that although technology can be disruptive, it can also be positive in the way it can be used to connect with others and prompt real interaction. Polymedia also makes me think more about the media I choose to use #DigiTechS22B
@UPAMAROY10 I agree cryptocurrency and NFTs are going to become more popular in the future as online life becomes more representative of reality. It is scary though to think about using money online that much and in such high amounts as crashes and corruptions do happpen occasionally.
@kwrutgers20 I agree the use of online conferencing tools like Zoom will continue to increase in all types of organizations. Now that schools and businesses understand the benefits of these tools after COVID, many are continuing use to have more reach and accessibility for workers/students.
@TDC_RJ Digital twins is a really cool and innovative development I also think a lot of companies will start to use. I chose VR, which is similar as it creates virtual concepts and environments. These are also useful to avoid wasting materials by testing out virtually.
I predict that virtual and augmented reality will grow in use by organizations as a tool to give workers more flexibility and a more immersive online interaction to improve remote work. VR will change the way information is shared and used in the workplace. #DigiTechS22B
@Sac401S Artificial intelligence is definitely a development that will continue to become apart of our everyday lives and more so in the future. Every year, there are new technologies capable of human activities or tasks. The automation of AI disrupts many markets and jobs. Kind of scary!
@yaolu77039770 Social media is definitely a great topic because of how widely its used in society for a variety of purposes including entertainment, business or self promotion, social networking, and communication. It has disrupted many markets as a new tool to connect to users & share content.
@kwrutgers20 This is a really good topic because of the relevance of these platforms in recent years. I definitely agree video conferencing has changed the way people communicate, especially in education. I personally am still getting used to the changes these platforms create for classes.
The focus of my EDTP project is streaming services such as Netflix or Hulu. These streaming platforms offer entertainment in an easy and quick way that disrupts the previous way in which tv and movies were distributed and consumed, such as cable or theaters. #DigiTechS22B
@FParnagian Streaming services have definitely taken over cable for being the primary source of entertainment. With easy access on almost any device at any time, its a much easier and cheaper option. Especially for younger generations who uses mobile devices much more, its more convenient.
@dhavnag_ I definitely think YouTube has had a huge impact on our society with how users view both entertainment and educational content. I also think it opened doors for many other content platforms, like Tiktok. I agree its often overlooked, but it remains one of the most used platforms.
@Brittnvnez I personally almost always get my news from my phone or laptop, either through social media platforms or online news networks. I think with the growth of online presence for many organizations, this will eventually lead to print news becoming almost defunct.
An important change to a social norm occuring in the modern digital age is how much online exposure and screentime kids are growing up with. Parents have become more concerned with their kid’s online activity as technology is much more accessible and depended on. #DigiTechS22B
