@rdd147 If blackstone defaults on RE-related debt an “dumps it” on the lenders, the lenders sell, sweep cash to pay their debt and Blackstone gets the residual, which if below equity mark results in a loss.
It’s not like they can magically make losses appear on lender’s balance sheets.

@jbulltard1 Yep - outside of building inventory, financial maneuvers to “improve” affordability just increase demand and consequently drive up prices of limited inventory.
