Fun fact! There is a Penguin book vending machine at Exeter St Davids station. Built 2023, it recalls a 1934 visit by a publisher (going home after an Agatha Christie meeting) who was inspired to set up @PenguinUKBooks right there. @GWRHelp staff tell me it sells several each day

We're looking forward to the opening of the Victoria Tap, which we have supported with a grant, at the end of September. Describing a late September completion date as 'late summer' will make railway folk feel very at home; cf rail reviews and all sorts of other projects.
To celebrate the return of #SecretsOfTheLondonUnderground we've partnered with @ltmuseum to offer you the chance to *WIN* 1 of 5 pairs of tickets to a special Hidden London tour of Aldwych station on 7th November!

Apologies once again for lack of tweets. Meg has been incredibly poorly but after a week of vet stays, visits and treatment we hope and pray she’s turned a corner.
@bordersbeeching@NSE_Latchmere Was a Class 08 based there, so if that's gone, service must have finished. I tried to get there when they were moving coal slurry out when I 1st moved there but never managed it
@bordersbeeching The branch was still in use up to recently with a train to Roxby landfill site Monday to Saturday. Although the railhead on connecting line off the ECML looked rusty when I went passed last week
