Researchers at the @UniOfYork are looking for people to join their new study of 'The good life with dementia', a community course co-produced and led by people living with #dementia.
Their study is open to anyone living with dementia in Sheffield and Bristol, and to South Asian people living with dementia in Manchester.

Fully support this effort! Need to acknowledge though there is a huge gap between the aspirations to support clinical research and the shop-floor requirements for academic medical trainees (inflexibility, dual training in IM) these are strong headwinds to the desired destination
Great to see this focus on making research part of everyday clinical practice from @NIHRresearch & @RCPhysicians.
Right now, fewer than 2⃣ in 5⃣ people diagnosed with dementia in England & Wales have a documented discussion about taking part in research.

ARUK’s annual Clinical Conference is always a popular and high quality meeting to catch up on clinical dementia science for a modest fee (£50-75 depending on circumstances). A huge incentive to attend this year is that I won’t be there, having upsettingly been booked elsewhere.
We’re delighted to announce that our 2022 #ARUKClinicalConference takes place on 14 Oct at @RCPhysicians. This is an opportunity for dementia clinicians to hear about how innovation in dementia research is impacting clinical practice.

Our analysis on #WomenandDementia, found women receive less health monitoring and attend fewer GP visits than men.
It is vital we see brain health prioritised in government’s upcoming Dementia Strategy to address this gap & help more people reduce their risk of dementia.
