There’s a guy on Instagram who started posting about his journey to getting legally euthanised in the Netherlands, so he started a “last supper project” where he goes to his followers’ homes to have supper with them before he dies. The date for him to be euthanised was 30 July.
Unbelievable! US border patrol demanding phone passwords? Refusal means a $5000 fine OR 5 years in jail?! This is the harsh reality for some travelers. Think twice before booking that US trip. Seriously reconsider your travel plans. 😡
a free food pantry around the corner was targeted by city leaders for having "safety hazards" in the form of rotting produce among the food that had been donated.
the city sanitation trucks came, without warning, and destroyed 8 refrigerators, freezers, tables, and food.
Was just fully denied the right to travel today at Liverpool St Stn, on any train, because @networkrail staff collectively refused to deploy a ramp for me.
Why? One of them claimed I was “rude” for telling him I didn’t need the lecture he was giving me on why they’d failed to …
Hi @Tesco
On Good Friday I experienced the most awful and humiliating experience in your Hurst Park (Surrey) store. I popped in to pick up groceries on my way to visit friends. I used “scan as you go” as I always do, and paid £75.92 for my groceries, using my Apple Pay.

LUKE is a sweet, playful 5 y/o cat who has been waiting for his forever home for way too long. He spends most of his time in a cage, which is not fair. He just wants his own home to romp around in and his own person to make biscuits for 😭

On January 7th, 2025 I shared a video, after I was asked to call UnitedHealthcare from the operating room to answer administrative questions about the patient who was having surgery to treat breast cancer. Despite my efforts, they denied her stay.
UnitedHealthcare didn’t stop at calling me during surgery. Now, they’ve sent me a legal threat—and even worse? They ended up denying my cancer patient’s hospital stay. Exactly what I was afraid would happen.
Staying overnight after major surgery isn’t optional—it’s medically necessary. But UnitedHealthcare decided they know better than the doctors caring for the patient.
When they called me while I was operating, I knew that if I didn’t step out and respond immediately, they might deny her stay—leaving her with a massive bill. So, with another surgeon in the OR, I scrubbed out and called them back. But after all of that? They denied her stay anyway.
And instead of fixing their broken system, they sent me a legal threat for speaking out.
I’m sharing their response in full, letting their words speak for themselves.
Let me be clear: I stand by everything I said. I told the truth. I was honest about what’s happening in our healthcare system. And I will not be silenced by legal threats when it comes to advocating for my patients and my ability to care for them.
Denying an overnight stay that a doctor orders is dangerous. The doctor caring for the patient should be able to make these decisions without delay, pressure, or harassment.
If I don’t speak up, I lose—my integrity, my voice, and the opportunity to make a difference. And while it’s intimidating to receive a letter like this from a company as powerful as UnitedHealthcare, I know where I stand.
I am a woman taking care of women affected by breast cancer. I do this work with all of my heart, and I will continue to speak up for my patients—because they deserve better.
I ask you to follow along, share this story, and have these conversations in your own communities. I know I’m not the only one dealing with this, and real change will take all of us telling our stories and standing up for what’s right.
I’m here for it. Are you?
did a @RollingStoneUK job in June and still haven't been paid for it. never "called out" a company publicly in my life before (mortifying to have to ask for my own money frankly), and I'm prob yelling into the void, BUT it's Christmas so perhaps there is a miracle to be had lol
"I've been witness to three generations of women with chronic illnesses being abandoned by their husbands.
A lot of times they leave. Not right away. They'll stay for about six months after the diagnosis and play the hero...while everyone's still watching, everyone's praising them for being brave and selfless.
And then once the actual work begins, once it becomes unglamorous and hard, they dip out.
And they do it in a way that leaves them feeling blameless, right? They pick fights, they start building resentment, they start manufacturing conflict, they start gaslighting...
Essentially these men will do the things men do if they want out of a relationship but they don't want to feel like the bad guy.
Either that or they kill their wives slowly through neglect.
This is a systemic issue. This is a patriarchy issue."

Interesting to see recently men disparaging womens fears of travelling alone or walking home at night alone etc. Apparently men think women 'exaggerate' to get attention or sympathy. So here's a little illustration to enlighten them.
