#dotnet#aspnetcore
@SignalMxB@axeng200@DamianEdwards@davidfowl@EgorBo@ben_a_adams@SitnikAdam I can see where this pov comes from. aspnetcore itself is unopinionated. I think that is why setup takes time. However with agents, its faster now, and dotnet runs on linux, you dont need to maintain any windows boxes in production. please give it a try!
@axeng200@DamianEdwards@davidfowl@EgorBo@ben_a_adams@SitnikAdam I think the only downside of dotnet is the ecosystem. Community tools / libraries feel freemium. Compared to rust, go, node, everything is open source, mit licensed and completely free. But yes dotnet itself is great, and free!
When working with API projects, Aspire dashboard becomes the UI for cloud agents to capture evidence, while the traces and logs remain the actual source of truth for verification.
@davidfowl Telemetry stops agents from guessing and provides facts instead. You can ask agents to capture evidence from the verification and telemetry too!
