@rajeshsawhney Rs 1000 invested in Gold in 1980 would have become 50k today ( that too after 20% recent gains); same amount invested in Sensex would have become Rs 4 lakh. Gold is overrated.

@rajeshsawhney Gold is overrated! Ok returns but don't compare well with long term stock returns! Same amount invested in NASDAQ would have become about Rs 2.2lakh and if invested in S&P 500 then 80,000!
BSE started in 1979, since then it has given return of 16% compared to 10% for Gold!
