One of the things I love most about lifting is that every day is a new opportunity to learn & get 1% better.
No matter how long you’ve been at it, we’re all “works in progress.”
Everything he said is great. Quality over quantity. Whether that is the exercises during your workouts or the nutrients you put into your body #BUExSci294@KyleBeyerPhD
What I wish I knew when I started lifting...
Take your MF time
It's a marathon, not a sprint
Movement quality/efficiency are king
Rest periods serve a purpose
Don't compare yourself to others
Your habits outside the gym majorly impact your results
7 things to do daily that will keep you healthy
1. Drink lots of water
2. Eat a raw vegetable salad once a day
3. Have 500mls of vegetable smoothies each day
4. Eat 2 tablespoons of seeds and 2 handfuls of nuts
5. Cut out sugar
6. Sleep 7 to 8 hours
7. Exercise 30 minutes
If you’re supposed to lift heavy in training but you’re not feeling it that day & don’t think you can do it without your technique suffering…
❌Don’t attempt the weight❌
Take weight off the bar, hit a few quality reps at a lighter weight & come back to fight another day.
facts. it’s so important to include vegetables in your diet! Eating a well rounded diet is soo important to getting a good lift in and getting the muscle growth you’re trying to achieve! #BUExSci294@KyleBeyerPhD
Just a reminder to everyone. If you’re training for strength, make sure your exercises are completed slow and coordinated. Remember, correct form is more important than heavier weight!! #BUExSci294@KyleBeyerPhD
