The good thing about the subsidy issue is that it will accelerate the discussion around fiscal federalism, state-level resource control, and the structural realignment of national revenue distribution.

We paid subsidies on a single product for 53 years, wasting trillions of Naira at the expense of infrastructure, healthcare, education, security, economic development, transportation, diversified energy sources, and the growth of the oil sector.
