Great news: A judge has ruled against FL's anti-trans healthcare ban, halting enforcement of SB254 against the plaintiffs. Inspiring step toward restoring access to care in FL. Thank you to plaintiff families & @SouthernLegal, @GLADLaw, @HRC & @NCLRights: https://t.co/0SwCL9iHW0
After review of the body cam footage I concur with the DA that our police officers acted appropriately. I am committed to advocate for police reform where necessary while appreciating the immense and dangerous challenges our officers face daily.

UPDATE from NCDOT 2/10/2023: The road diet is expected to be completed by early May.
NCDOT specifications do not allow for some of this work to be conducted during winter months.
The road diet is part of a larger project to resurface all of Merrimon Ave.
Need to pull some people together, but can’t decide whether to have a roundtable, a sit-down, a stand-up, a convening, a visioning process, a brainstorm, strategy session, a workshop, an input gathering, a listening session, a stakeholder meeting, or a charrette.
