Before Starlink, can you help build the roads in Bengaluru first. Our government has been struggling at it for years and still can't figure out a way to fix it. @GBA_office
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
Agree…I say this with the experience of having lived overseas for 12 years across 6 global cities, before returning home to Blr
For #Karnataka to turn this into an opportunity, we need to:
1) Revamp our #education system & wider ecosystem to develop critical thinkers & a more entrepreneurial mindset - with the support to turn questions & ideas into action
2) Raise the quality of life for all our citizens. That means fixing our water and mobility issues:.
Talented people need an environment where they can learn & grow, build & contribute & live well. Let’s give them / us compelling reasons to choose India

Bengaluru is living up to its marathon-city reputation - runners doing a 10 km run in under 56 minutes would outpace our school buses!
Ten kilometres. Fifty-six minutes.
That is what this morning’s average speed of 10.8 km/h means for our slowest six school bus routes - roughly 10% of the 61 routes we track on the SH-35 corridor.
For comparison, TomTom’s 2025 morning rush-hour benchmarks put a 10 km drive at:
• Bengaluru: 41 minutes
• Hyderabad: 35 minutes
• Chennai: 34 minutes
• Mumbai: 32 minutes
• Singapore: 23 minutes
Our slowest buses are taking the equivalent of 15 minutes longer per 10 km than Bengaluru’s own morning rush-hour benchmark.
One route took 98 minutes to cover 16.6 km. In all, 19 of our 61 routes ran below the city’s morning rush-hour speed.
This corridor serves around 40,000 schoolchildren. Time on the road is time taken from learning, play, rest and family.
We need sustained traffic enforcement, road repairs and coordinated action across the school corridor.
A city that wants the world’s talent has to be able to move its children! And for that matter it’s entrepreneurs & professionals

Kudos to you for amplifying the plight of common citizens and being our voice. Please continue and I hope other people of stature take a note and start speaking for the common folks to out pressure on the government to provide basic necessities.
@TVMohandasPai
This is a big big shame for @GBA_office@GBAChiefComm Is this the job of the helpful police to fill up road potholes? Minister @krishnabgowda please sack the actual officials responsible for dereliction of duty. Unless you take action, asserting your authority noth8ng seems to work. You are our Minister, Please Act @CMofKarnataka@DKShivakumar Why is the Tiger of Karnataka not acting to sack these actual officials who have failed. @lkatheeq
Today my daughter’s school bus took 2 hours to travel just 2 km in Varthur/Gunjur road.
For those 2 hours, I sat there as a parent feeling completely helpless.
I work hard. My wife and I pay lakhs in taxes every month. We took a huge home loan mainly so we could live close to our daughter’s school and give her a safer, easier childhood.
And yet, this is what “2 km from school” means here.
In the last year alone, we have seen a school bus topple, a woman suffer serious injuries after a fall, a biker almost lost his life after falling because of a pothole, and many more incidents that never become headlines.
Every day, ordinary people here tweet, email, complain, follow up and plead with authorities.
We are not activists.
We are not fighting for a political party.
We are parents, employees, families and taxpayers asking for one basic thing:
Please give our children a safe road to come home on.
Today, more than the traffic, what broke me was the feeling that despite doing everything a responsible citizen is supposed to do, I had absolutely no power to protect my own child.
If anyone knows how ordinary citizens of Varthur/Gunjur can reach someone with the authority to actually intervene, please help us.
