If Gaza had been a predominantly Christian community and not a predominantly Muslim one the response of the western powers would have been very different.
60% of homes have been destroyed in Gaza and 85% of the population have been displaced.
All this and yet the US, the UK and most of the EU countries have turned a blind eye and just don't care.
That is bad enough but what is worse is the fact that the leaders of the Arab Gulf states, North Africa and indeed much of the Muslim world are not doing nearly enough to help the Palestinians out of fear of the Israelis and the Americans.
The only Muslim countries that have shown any courage and virility during the course of this horrendous tragedy are Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia and a handful of others.
Almosf 20,000 innocent civilians killed and 70% of them are women and children have been bombed to pieces, buried in rubble and starved to death yet the world refuses to intervene and send in a multi lateral force or coalition of the willing to enforce a ceasefire and protect Palestinian women and children from the war crimes, crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, mass murder and genocide that they are being subjected to. This is a travesty of justice and is simply sickening.
I call on the Federal Government of Nigeria to show courage and stand up and be counted in this matter by not only condemning the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th but also condemning the barbaric and horrific attacks that the civilians of Gaza and increasingly the people of the West Bank have been subjected to to the @IDF.
This is the time to show courage, to resist evil and to make our mark in the annals of history.
If South Africa can do it, so can we!
If Hamas were to seize and occupy an Israeli town would the Israeli Defence Force bomb the city into a sea of rubble & slaughter thousands of innocent Israeli men, women and children all in an attempt to crush the terrorists?
If the answer is NO there can be no justification whatsoever for what is going on in Gaza today.
The objective must be to crush Hamas and not to murder or eliminate the Palestinian peoole and every single man, woman and child in Gaza.
I urge our courageous and amiable leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT) and the Nigerian Government to join others from all over the world and condemn the mass murder, genocide and ethnic cleansing of innocent women and children that is going on in Gaza today and call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.
The Lord wills it and justice demands it!

This is moment of hardship...let's not forget a lot of people have to go out everyday before they can feed their families. An act of generosity can never be too much or too small.
One of @sowore bail conditions was for him not to speak to Press. But in less than 24 hours after his release he breached that condition right inside d Courtroom. But they won't put this video out.

My participation in the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference always takes me down memory lane. Earlier this week I was presented with once-upon-a-time photographs, from my time as a young military officer. General Gowon was C-in-C at the time.
Have you noticed that ALL Twitter Senators are finally out of the Upper Chambers? It tells us that the world of REAL politics in Africa is not yet played on social media. Social media has not had a SUBSTANTIAL impact on our politics. REAL politics is different from Social Media
Today I flagged off the commencement of construction of the University of Transportation in Daura, an investment by China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), and the first of its kind in Africa. The Federal Government will fully support this project to completion.
