I was just sitting and chilling right in front of my friend's mom. She was wearing a skirt and i could see things. She caught me watching it even though it was unintentional from my side. Anyways she caught me staring and gave me a smile and i was very scared that now she will get angry or complain about it to her husband or my friend. But Nothing happened. A few days after that my friend and his parents were going to his maternal grandparents' house which is 200 km away from our city.
My friend asked me to come with them ( I have visited them before too) it was fun. So….

Sissy Spacek’s 1976 Carrie is the one that makes me feel the most sorry for her. Her quiet, fragile vulnerability is so pure that the prom night betrayal hits like a gut punch—you’re rooting for her right up until she snaps, and even then the tragedy lingers.
The 2026 Mike Flanagan version is the one that made me question how innocent she really is. By having another character essentially take the wheel for a lot of the destruction, it softens her agency and undercuts the core horror of a thoroughly broken girl who finally chooses (or loses control of) her own revenge. It makes her more of a passive victim than the complicated figure King wrote.
