What each country wants in the #Artsakh/#Karabakh?

#Azerbaijan 🇦🇿: To ethnically cleanse Artsakh of its native Armenian population.

#Russia 🇷🇺: To use the conflict to maintain hegemony in the region at all cost.

#France 🇫🇷: To assist Armenians in Artsakh and Armenia without providing them with kinetic power or tangible financial assistance.

#Turkey 🇹🇷: To advance the genocidal intents of the little brother Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 and to establish a Pan-Turkic empire.

#Europe 🇪🇺: To please Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 at any cost to have access to cheap Azeri (and Russian 🇷🇺) gas sold to them by and through Azerbaijan 🇦🇿.

#USA: To keep pressure on #Iran 🇮🇷 by propping up anti-Iranian stance of Azerbaijani regime ignoring Azerbaijan’s 🇦🇿 horrendous record of war crimes and genocide against Armenians, as well as poor human rights at home.

#China 🇨🇳: No goals. Utter silence not to challenge Russia’s 🇷🇺 supremacy claims to the region.

#Iran 🇮🇷: To ensure that it is not further isolated in the region and not to lose border with Armenia 🇦🇲. Iran very well recognizes the threat caused by Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 yet fails to take a firm stance on the Aliyev regime. At times, it further cooperates with Azerbaijan in various economic projects forgetting the bellicose nature of Aliyev’s anti-Iranian lexicon.

#Israel 🇮🇱: To support Azerbaijan at any cost to maintain a foothold near the Iranian border. Just like the US, Israel also ignores Azerbaijan’s 🇦🇿 horrendous record of war crimes and genocide against Armenians, as well as poor human rights at home. This is even more shocking since the Jewish people have suffered through the genocide of their own, the #Holocaust.
